Martin A. Hansen (1909-1955)

Hansen was raised on a farm and worked as a school teacher. During the war, Hansen agreed to write articles for the Danish resistance urging Danes to kill informers. He was forced to flee to Sweden until the end of the war. Hansen's prose can be described as Modernist because of its heavy use of symbolism and surreal situations.
