Ivar Lo-Johansson (1901-1990)

Lo-Johansson was born to a family of tenant farmers and became one of Sweden's best-known working-class writers. He used social realism as a tool to change the public's perception of political issues. His stories about tenant farmers helped to abolish the system in Sweden. Lo-Johansson was an extremely prolific writer and some of his novels have been translated.
