Cora Sandel is the pseudonym of Sara Fabricius. Sandel originally intended to become a painter, and moved to Paris to study art. She did not begin to write until she was fourty-six. Sandel has a very sophisticated narrative style that changes from work to work. Most often, Sandel pays close attention to both the psychology and the social conditions of her characters. Although her tales can be classed as social realism, she has learned a great deal from the Modernists when it comes to narrative technique. Copyright © 2001 Susan Brantly. All Rights reserved. |
