Klaus P. Mortensen is a Danish scholar, born
in 1942.He is a Professor in Danish at the Pedagogical
University. He has written a number of scholarly works
on such authors as Herman Bang, Henrik Pontoppidan as
well as on the Thomasine Gyllenbourg. He was co-editor
of the journal Kritik from 1978 to 1987. In 1989, he
also wrote Svanen og skyggen: historien om unge Andersen [The
Swan and the Shadow: The Story of a Young Andersen]. Hear
